"Curing the Coral Reef" takes our Treehouse Heroes on an unforgettable journey to the Great Barrier Reef, where they join forces with new friends to solve an exciting environmental challenge. Tailored for 3rd graders, this STEAMation box immerses students in life science and ecosystems, aligning with educational standards while giving you the flexibility to introduce other standards into the lessons.  for the unit. Divided into five captivating sections—Reading, Storytelling and Claymation, 3D Design powered by Tinkercad, and Coding—each part builds essential skills, from reading comprehension and narrative creation to 3D modeling and coding. This project empowers students with a well-rounded, hands-on learning experience that transforms STEM education into an adventurous, story-driven discovery. With "Curing the Coral Reef," students embark on a memorable journey that makes STEM concepts come alive in a meaningful way!

  • You will need to use a capture device and software to create the movie. We suggest using a Smartphone or iPad with the app Stop Motion Studio Pro.

    It only costs a few dollars and you can download it on the App store. Available for iPhone, iPad, and macOS as well as Android and Windows.

    You can also use the HUE camera (sold separately) attached to a laptop to supercharge your production.
